I've been helping professionals land jobs since 1995. Originally a telecommunications industry marketing executive, I transitioned to recruiting when tapped by a Top 50 national search firm to expand and manage its content division. I was a partner there and worked primarily with cable television industry clients.

I went on to co-found Convergence Executive Search, a boutique recruiting firm specializing in the broadband sector. My specialty was emerging technologies - an area I'd begun working in a few years earlier just as high speed Internet was beginning to take hold.

My client portfolio included Time Warner’s RoadRunner business unit, Bloomberg Media, Playboy Entertainment Group, StarzEncore, TiVo, Ericsson Innovations, British Sky Broadcasting, Time Warner Cable, and Comcast Corporation.

Following nearly 10 years in recruiting with hiring companies as my clients, I changed direction a bit and now focus solely on job seekers and helping them become better candidates. The Interview Edge is a compilation of "insider information" from a recruiter's perspective - a comprehensive guide for people who are serious about their careers and want to learn how to gain a competitive advantage.

I also work one-on-one with people to help them improve their marketability via telephone consults tailored specifically to their needs. My dual perspectives of corporate executive and executive recruiter provide useful insights. We often concentrate on reworking resumes to achieve better results - but other common topics include how a candidate can better differentiate himself or herself, messaging, and how to combat age bias.
